Born and raised in Hamilton Heights, New York City and singer-songwriter Sirena Maré writes songs influenced by her travels and personal experiences growing up in the city. Her creative works are captured through themes of unpacking the past, emotional vulnerability, and telling untold stories of the people she’s encountered in life.
Growing up traveling between Australia and New York City, Sirena was introduced to the arts early on, raised in a community of musicians, and starting songwriting and performing at the age of seven. Like many kids, Maré was exposed to music while sitting in the backseat of her parent's car. Her signature sound was shaped by classic artists such as Aurora, Regina Spektor, and Joni Mitchel. At the age of ten, she was the youngest musician to perform a solo, sold-out set at the iconic New York’s venue, The Bitter End.
Now, at twenty years old, Maré has launched her artist project, combining her love for storytelling with her love for music. Following the release of her serene first single “Swimming in the Rain,” Sirena Maré has no intentions of stopping, with more singles imminently in the pipeline.
Sirena Maré recently released her single “Angelina” on May 7th, 2021.
